Practice areas
Eleven areas of Moroccan law, one point of contact
Advisory and litigation work for businesses and individuals, before all the courts and public authorities of the Kingdom.

Business law
Moroccan business law governs the life of a company from formation to transfer: commercial contracts, dealings with partners, banks and public authorities, and the prevention and resolution of disputes.

Corporate law
From the SARL (limited liability company) to the société anonyme (public limited company), Moroccan company law (Laws No. 5-96 and 17-95) governs the formation, operation, general meetings and dissolution of commercial companies.

Arbitration and mediation
Maître Mouad Lahfaia assists companies and individuals in domestic and international arbitration proceedings, from drafting the arbitration clause to enforcing the award, in accordance with Law No. 95-17 on arbitration and conventional mediation.

Commercial law and debt recovery
The Commercial Code (Law No. 15-95) governs commercial transactions, business assets (fonds de commerce), negotiable instruments and businesses in difficulty. Debt recovery is its most common everyday application.

Family law
The Family Code (Moudawana, Law No. 70-03) governs marriage, divorce, child custody, maintenance, filiation and inheritance. The firm assists you with discretion at these sensitive times.

Civil law
The 1913 Dahir of Obligations and Contracts (DOC) is the foundation of Moroccan civil law: formation and performance of contracts, civil liability, sale, lease, loans, agency and limitation periods.

Real estate and land law
Land titles, registration, co-ownership, leases, property development: Moroccan real estate law combines the Real Rights Code (Law No. 39-08), the land registration system (Law No. 14-07) and specific statutes.

Administrative law
Administrative litigation pits citizens or businesses against the State, local authorities and public bodies. The Administrative Courts (Law No. 41-90) hear applications for annulment, claims against the administration, public procurement and tax disputes.

Employment law
The Labour Code (Law No. 65-99) governs employment contracts, dismissal, working hours, wages and collective relations. The firm advises both employers and employees.

Criminal law and business crime
Defence before the criminal courts and assistance to victims: the firm acts from police custody onwards and throughout the proceedings, with particular attention to white-collar crime.

Litigation and court proceedings
Going to court is not always the best option. The firm works with you to define the most effective strategy: negotiation, mediation, arbitration (Law No. 95-17) or court proceedings all the way to the Court of Cassation.
